Macclesfield Town

Kidderminster Harriers 0 Macclesfield Town 2

Macclesfield produced their best display of the season as they out-thought and out-fought a lacklustre Kidderminster.

Non-contract former Evertonian David Eaton capped the display with his first goal in league football with his first touch as a Macclesfield player.

However the win was set up by a superb free kick from youngster Michael Welch on the half hour as he drilled a 25 yard shot underneath the wall.

Manager David Moss was delighted, admitting that he had got Eaton only on trial and was not paying him a penny for his troubles.

"He's certainly given me food for thought about finding another experienced striker, that may not be necessary now," he said.
