Welsh, who had been with the Silkmen on loan from Stockport County, has been brought back to Edgley Park by Carlton Palmer after earning rave reviews while at the Moss Rose.
The 19-year-old right winger scooped two man of the match awards during his time with Macc and netted two goals in his last two league games.
And on the back of his success Palmer has taken the youngster back with immediate effect.
The move leaves Macclesfield with a selection problem for this weekend's fixture with both Chris Byrne and Paul Aldridge still unfit.
