MACCLESFIELD gave Cardiff a scare before finally succumbing in their Carling Cup second round clash.

Martin Bullock put the Silkmen in front within five minutes of the kick-off at Ninian Park, and a shock looked on the cards.

But the Bluebirds struck back in the second half through Joe Ledley's equaliser, and a fine free-kick from Jason Koumas with 10 minutes to go completed the comeback.
