DAVE Morley has been named as the new Macclesfield Town captain.

The 27-year-old defender, pictured, joined the Silkmen from Doncaster in January and will take over from the departed Matthew Tipton.

“He has a presence on the field,” said Macc boss Brian Horton. “He does talk on the pitch, is a good trainer and has played at a higher level.”
