Macclesfield Town

Macc: End of season ratings

ALAN FETTIS: Fettis has combined some sensational performances with the odd lapse in concentration 5

MARK BAILEY: Four months on the sidelines restricted his opportunities to shine. Probably the best crosser of the ball in the club 6

DANNY SWAILES: Bury boy Swailes must cut out the mistakes and become more effective further forward if he is to make his mark at a higher level 6

TONY BARRAS: Has done what was required though his lack of pace may become a liability 5

MATTY CARRAGHER: Best at sweeper where his intelligence and vision have been vital 6

DAVID MORLEY: The side's big voice in defence. His arrival signalled an up-turn in fortunes and saw Macc through to the play-offs 7

MICHAEL WELCH: Has now played in over 100 games for Macc and made a strong contribution throughout the season 5

GRAHAM POTTER: Has added incision up front and intelligence at the back 6

PAUL HARSLEY: Won the Fans' Player of the Season award for his incredible work-rate. Add touch, pace and a telling pass and you have a top signing 7

KEVIN MCINTYRE: A driving force on the left side of midfield and an underrated ball player who continues to improve 7

JOHN MILES: Continues to look good with a mesmerising ability to run with the ball. Has scored some vital goals but must become more consistent if he is to have the future that his talent merits 5

DANNY WHITAKER: Is maturing into a box- to-box midfield man that every side would like. Has not scored as many as two seasons back, and also is still a little light-weight but has a magical touch and impudence that the fans adore 6

MATTHEW TIPTON: Club skipper Tipton has formed a great partnership with big Jon Parkin, though with 13 goals has failed to match last season's tally of 19 6

JON PARKIN:
His 26 goals make him the club's most valuable asset. Scores from long and close range with equal aplomb 8

What a great season Macc have had, the so called experts put them down for relegation, but were proved wrong. To be a fan of Macc town isn't easy but when they are good WOW. By the way Simon Carter forgot to mention Steve Wilson and his scoring was quite low.

Underdogs that reached promotion and the players are averaged at 6/10. Surely not!

Great season Silkmen.
Bit unfortunate for Tippy, being axed due to cost cutting measures. So will we see some quality faces? Or any new faces at all?
Is the club finacially secure?!
