MACCLESFIELD travel to League Two's basement club on Saturday looking for their fifth win in six games.
But the Silkmen can expect a tough game from a side who drew 2-2 at Northampton Town last Friday night and only conceded a late winner against Yeovil last month.
The Us, who have not won since October, have no injury concerns and in goalkeeper John Ruddy they have one of the country's hottest young properties.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper has been one of Cambridge's few high points this season and has attracted interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Wigan.
But it's off the field where the club are really struggling. Chairman Gary Harwood stepped down last Friday - to be replaced by Roger Hunt - and '300,000 is owed by the end of the month to keep the Us in business. With the Conference looming, these are difficult times at the Abbey Stadium.
