Goal-happy Macclesfield’s impressive summer form continued with a convincing victory at Newcastle Town.

New boy Tyrone Barnett nodded Macc’s opening goal from a cross by trial winger Matty Hamshaw and a cool finish from Colin Daniel ensured Macc had a 2-0 cushion at the break.

A much-changed Silkmen side went on to score three more in the second-half. Vinny Mukendi thumped home a 20-yard stunner before Hamshaw did his chances of extending his stay at the Moss Rose no harm with a couple of late goals. Tweet
