MACCLESFIELD travel to take on Ian Rush's Chester City. The prolific former Anfield favourite took charge last week, only to see two consecutive defeats to Darlington at home 3-1 and Boston away 3-0.

Rush was called up after his former teammate Mark Wright lost the job at the start of season amid rumours of a dressing room bust-up.

Macc are still without long term casualties Steve Payne and Matt Carragher, and Alan Fettis, who had 10 stitches in a deep knee wound at Southend, may also be missing. Steve Wilson will deputise.

Macc manager Brian Horton may choose to change his 5-3-2 formation, with Mike Briscoe moving to right back in a 4-3-3 style.
