MACCLESFIELD could not have wished for a better start as they recorded their first ever win at Leyton Orient.
Striker Matthew Tipton started where he finished last campaign with a brilliant opening goal on 41 minutes charging between the two central defenders before lobbing the static keeper from the edge of the box.
He then fed big John Parkin on 74 minutes, his strike partner taking the ball neatly round Glenn Morris before squeezing a low left foot shot inside the near post.
On 82 minutes Parkin made it three, this time carefully moving the ball onto his right foot before curling a pinpoint shot inside the far post to leave Morris floundering.
Orient sub Wayne Purser responded with a consolation moments later and Macc needed two Alan Fettis saves from Jabo Ibehre to maintain their lead at the death.
