Macclesfield Town

Macc sign keeper

BRIAN Horton has strengthend his Macclesfield Town squad by snapping up Alan Fettis on a free transfer from Hull City.

The Macc manager had been keen to bring in an experienced keeper to act as competition for Steve Wilson and was delighted to snap up the experienced Fettis.

Announcing the capture of the 33-year-old Northern Ireland international, Horton told Macc's official site: "I've made no secret of the fact that I have been looking to sign a new keeper and he's very experienced, he was top of my list.

"All good sides need two or more keepers and Alan will add some real competition for places at the back. In [Steve] Wilson and Fettis we have two top quality keepers and that is vital if you want to succeed."
