ANGRY Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander was mystified at a second half penalty decision that cost the Silkman a precious point against Luton.
He said: "Quite frankly it was a diabolical decision. I don't know why, not one of my players knows why, and I don't think anybody in the ground knows whey he gave a penalty."
Tom Craddock duly converted in the 68th minute - after the award by referee Andy Hall - handing Luton a precious lifeline in their fairytale battle for survival.
It came when Macc had been dominating with full back Matthew Flynn thudding a cross against the upright.
In the first half Macc midfielder Nat Brown lashed a volley against the cross bar while Jon Brain nearly scored an own goal when he flapped at a cross.
John Rooney was the man of the match for Macc, enhancing his claims for an extended run in the team.
