MACCLESFIELD Town kick-started their season with a superb 2-1 win over heavily-handicapped Luton.
Going into the game on the back of two humiliating thumpings, Macc turned the tables thanks to veteran Simon Yeo.
Approaching his 35th birthday, the master marksman showed his class with a brilliant 25-yard lob volley that left Dean Brill stranded.
Young defender James Jennings extended the lead on 59 minutes with a culring left foot drive to the far corner.
The Hatters - deducted 27 points at the start of the season - did the get ball in the net deep in injury time but Ryan Charles's late free-kick proved ot be the last kick of the game.
