The fact that Macclesfield need a point to prolong their 10-year tenure in the Football League is likely to swell the crowd by at least 1,000.
With their two relegation rivals, Wrexham and Boston, facing each other at the Racecourse on Saturday, Macc will be safe if they can at least draw.
Chief executive Patrick Nelson is horrified by thought of a drop back into the Conference.
He said: "The Conference is a great league, but for a club like Macc - where we are trying to build a heritage and a tradition - it would be terrible."
Do you think Macc will stay up? Have your say.
