Scunthorpe have won the two previous meetings including a silver-goal victory in the LDV Vans Trophy.
But after their great performance against Swansea last Saturday, Bury are hopeful of recording a first away win since November 15.
Scunthorpe, though, had an excellent midweek FA Cup victory over Barnsley and Bury's caretaker boss Graham Barrow knows it will be a difficult task.
"It's a tough place to play and even though we won there last season, they were all over us," says Barrow. "I hope we can turn in a performance like we did against Swansea."
Lee Duxbury has missed training with flu but is expected to play. Tom Kennedy was also doubtful after being injured against Swansea but he too should be fit to start.
Lee Unsworth underwent hernia surgery this week and could be out of action for a month. Colin Woodthorpe is just one booking away from a two-match ban.
LAST SEASON: Scunthorpe 0 Bury 1
KEY OPPONENT: Peter Beagrie - old campaigner with plenty of tricks.
PREDICTION: Scunthorpe 2 Bury 1
