ANDY Preece's worst fears have been confirmed with the news that Harpal Singh is out of action for three months.

The Leeds United winger requires surgery after dislocating his shoulder in training last week. Singh had only just signed a three-month loan deal.

Preece will also be without Glenn Whelan, on international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-20s squad, for tomorrow's home clash with Northampton. Paul O'Shaughnessy misses his final game through suspension, but striker Gareth Seddon is available after serving a one-match ban.

Terry Dunfield and Justin Thompson are due back after playing for Canada Under-23s in their Olympic qualifying matches against El Salvador, but neither are likely to start.

Dunfield missed a penalty in the return leg in British Columbia but Canada won the match 1-0. That tied the aggregate at 1-1 and the Canadians later won a penalty shoot-out 5-4.

LAST SEASON: Teams in different division.

KEY OPPONENT: former Oldham winger Josh Low has the pace to expose any weakness down the Shakers left.

PREDICTION: Bury 1 Northampton 1.
