BURY'S Phil Gulliver and Glenn Whelan have both had their loan deals extended, while striker Gareth Seddon has been offered a contract extension until the end of the season.

Middlesbrough defender Gulliver will spend a further month at Gigg Lane and permission has been granted for him to play against Rochdale in the FA Cup by manager Steve McClaren.

Irish midfielder Whelan will remain with the Shakers for another 20 days before joining up with the Ireland squad for the World Youth Championships in the United Arab Emirates.

Talks are ongoing over the respective futures of Harpal Singh and Matty Barrass.

The Shakers have also taken New Zealand international striker Noah Hickey on trial. Tweet
