Bury

Preview: Bury v Oxford

ONE Bury player is poised to enter the record books at Gigg Lane tomorrow as the Shakers go in search of their 6,000th league goal.

The first goal was netted by Billy Barbour against Manchester City in 1894.

Andy Preece won't care who scores providing his team get the three points.

He will be without Lee Unsworth and Colin Woodthorpe for the visit of Oxford. Both are serving one-match suspensions.

However, Glenn Whelan is back after playing for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s and could go into midfield with Lee Connell taking Unsworth's right wing-back role.

Ben Thornley may return for Woodthorpe though Preece has the option of bringing in youngster Tom Kennedy.

LAST SEASON: Bury 1 Oxford 1

KEY OPPONENT: Steve Basham - most of Oxford's goals this season have come from him.

PREDICTION: Bury 2 Oxford United 1
