Bury

Preview: Tranmere Rovers v Bury

BURY boss Andy Preece could make several changes from the side beaten 4-2 at Swansea, for tonight's tough Carling Cup test at Tranmere Rovers.

Preece acknowledges the sizzling South Wales weather may have drained some of his squad.

Lee Connell, unlucky to miss out on a starting place, and who scored after coming on as a substitute, could benefit.

Lee Unsworth suffered with cramp at the Vetch Field but will be fit for the tie. The Shakers knocked out Stoke City and Bolton, in last year's competition before succumbing to Fulham.

One player unlikely to feature is former skipper Martyn Forrest. He wasn't included in the party that travelled to South Wales and his days at Gigg Lane could be numbered.

Oxford United were thought to be interested in 'Fozzie' over the summer.

Prediction: Tranmere Rovers 2 Bury 0
