SWANSEA'S narrow escape from the Nationwide Conference means this game will be all the tougher for Andy Preece's new-look side.

The Welshmen have brought in the likes of Lee Trundle from Wrexham and Karl Connolly from QPR to make sure they don't slip up again.

Lenny Johnrose, who enjoyed modest success during a loan spell at Gigg Lane last term, recently signed a new deal with the Swans. So Bury need to be at their best straight away on day one of the new campaign.

Manager Andy Preece is likely to give debuts to loan signings Harpal Singh and Greg Strong plus new skipper Lee Duxbury.

"The expectation levels will be high at Swansea, there will be a big crowd and it's going to be tough," Preece said. "But if you can't be enthusiastic about this week then there is something wrong."
