And some tough economic decisions have been delayed by the Gigg Lane money men until after the play-offs.
However, the club received a massive boost with the decision of Bury Council to extend their sponsorship by another 12 months.
The deal is worth '50,000 on top of the '50,000 received for the first 12 months of the agreement.
Just how much more cash will be coming in depends on Bury's success in the play-offs, starting with a two-legged semi-final against Bournemouth.
"By the time expenses are taken out and we've given some to the Football League, I think we might make around '50,000 from the two games with Bournemouth," says co-chairman Fred Mason.
