SUPER SUB john Fitzgerald scored with his first touch to earn Bury a point in a see-saw clash with promotion-chasing Lincoln.

The Irish defender rose through a crowd to head in |Brian Barry-Murphy's 79th minute corner just 15 seconds after coming on as a substitute.

Bury were a constant threat from set-pieces, going ahead in the fifth minute when Andy Bishop headed in Marc Pugh's corner for his 17th goal of the season.

But the visitors drew level in the 37th minute, when Jamie Forrester slid in Paul Mayo's left wing cross from close range.

Lee Frecklington headed Lincoln in front from Ryan Amoo's powerful left wing cross with 14 minutes to go, but Fitzgerald's equaliser set up a thrilling finish.

And Bury could have won it in the closing stages when Pugh's left wing cross hit the far post, and then Bishop glanced a header against the crossbar after Nicky Adams had floated the ball in from the right wing.
