ANDY Bishop rescued a point for stuttering Bury with a late strike at Plainmoor.
The Shakers' leading scorer pounced at the death with a sweet strike which rounded off a memorable comeback for Chris Casper's brave battlers.
Star midfielder Marc Pugh was also on target and started the comeback with a fierce strike with quarter of an hour left.
However, Bury started sluggishly and things went from bad to worse as goal keeper Alan Fettis was sent off for a clumsy challenge.
Down to 10 men the Shakers were facing an unpleasant journey home with the likelihood of having suffered their 13th league defeat.
Jamie Ward was felled by Fettis in the 31rd minute and the former Aston Villa striker coolly slotted home.
Casper was forced to re-shuffle the pack with striker Glynn Hurst taken off for substitute keeper Aaron Grundy.
But even Grundy couldn't stop Ward scoring again after David Hockley was pushed in the box.
Ward scored, but Bury never gave up and, to their immense credit deserved a point after a breath-taking finish.
