BURY have rejected a second offer from Barnsley for star midfielder Dwayne Mattis.

Shakers' boss Chris Casper has already rejected a é25,000 bid for the former player-of-the-season, whose current deal expires at the end of the season.

A club spokesman confirmed: "We've turned down a second offer for Dwayne. We've offered him a new deal and at the moment he is thinking it over and says he will let us know about his future within a fortnight."
