EX-COUNTY star Colin Woodthorpe would love to face his former club at Gigg Lane tomorrow.

Woody was outstanding against another of his old teams, Chester City, in the FA Cup on Tuesday.

But he knows Bury manager Chris Casper could change things around as he did after last Saturday's victory at Mansfield.

"After Mansfield, you would expect the team to pick itself but it didn't and we had three changes for Chester," he said.

"In some way you could say that it was brave management. The gaffer knows he has a strong squad, so respect to him because he was brave enough to make those decisions and he's come away with a result."

Three players guaranteed to start are Andy Bishop, Glynn Hurst and Marc Pugh.

They are all potential match winners and Hatters boss Jim Gannon knows the threat they pose to his in-form side.

Woodthorpe said: "It is impossible to handle Marc in training, you can't handle him in a game.

"Richie has come in and done extremely well and they both look great prospects. Hopefully, the club can hold on to them for longer."

County also have their own danger men, notably five-goal Adam Proudlock and on-loan Stephen Gleeson, who netted his first goal for the club against Darlington last Saturday.

"I just closed my eyes and hoped for the best," he said.

On Proudlock, he added: "Adam's different class. His career had gone downhill a bit but he's definitely on the way back up now."

David Poole plays the final game of his loan spell before returning to Yeovil.

County protect an excellent league record at Gigg Lane where they haven't lost since 1985.
