LEAVING Gigg Lane has broken Bury loan-ranger Pav Abbott's heart.

Bury boss Andy Preece received a call from Preston boss Craig Brown asking for his return and Abbott said: "Thery're a great bunch of lads. In a way I was sorry to leave - I really enjoyed my stay."

The under-19 Polish international added: "I'll be looking for Bury's score every week from now on - and I'm tipping the Shakers to go straight back up into division two."
