ANDY Bishop was Buryés match-winner as the Shakers stretched their impressive unbeaten run to six games.
The former York City and Yeovil Town hitman netted a 31st minute winner for Chris Casperés men as they continued their charge up the League Two table with a welcome win away at Meadow Lane.
Bishop found the target with a lethal right-foot drive after the visitors had dominated the opening exchanges.
Defender Paul Scott shot wide after just two minutes and then loan striker Glynn Hurst, who has just signed a new deal at the club, forced Kevin Pilkington into a excellent save with a powerful 26th minute header.
The pressure told as Bishop beat Pilkington with his powerful drive, but if it had not been for some excellent saves from Manchester City loan shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel, then the home side would have taken the points.
Son of éGreat Daneé Peter, Schmeichel junior had an excellent game between the posts and denied Junior Mendes on the stroke of half-time, before keeping Daniel Martin at bay with a good save midway through the second-half.
Bishop could have scored his second of the game, but fired wide of the target with ten minutes to go, before Schmeichel made another good save, this time blocking Jason Leeés header.
Schmeichel saved with his legs a minute later as Mendes broke free, Martin had a shot blocked and then Alan saw a shot turned around the post as Casperés charges clung on the for the points.
