"I'm not surprised other clubs are looking at him with the way he's been performing," said Casper of the 21-year-old. "He's potentially the best left-back in this division and the division above.
"He's maturing all the time, getting better and better. He was excellent against Macclesfield and has been playing well all season. It doesn't surprise me if he is attracting attention from other clubs, but he's a Bury player and he's happy here."
Meanwhile, loan striker Glynn Hurst, who returned to Shrewsbury yesterday, wants to stay at Gigg Lane.
"It all depends on what Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters wants to do," admitted Hurst.
"He's said things in the past which have been a little derogatory about me but everybody it entitled to their opinions."
