CHRIS Casper believes hard work is key to his team's chances of success in League Two.
And the Bury manager was delighted that his latest recruit, teenage keeper Lewis Edge, quickly adapted to the team ethic.
"The harder we work, the more honest you are and the more you try to do the right thing, the luckier you become," said Casper ahead of tonight's Johnstone's Paints Trophy match at home to Tranmere.
"It was a great three points for us against Macclesfield. I said it was a massive game and I want us to build on that win."
Delighted
Casper was especially delighted as he was forced to find a new goalkeeper after loan star Kasper Schmeichel, was recalled to Manchester City after an injury to Nicky Weaver.
But 19-year-old Blackpool replacement Edge, starred on his debut, having spent less than 24 hours at Gigg Lane.
Edge said: "I just want to play first-team football because I've not been playing that many games at Blackpool.
"I knew the deal was on and I'm really happy about playing for Bury. They are a good set of lads and we defended really well, which impressed me.
"I have signed for a month and we'll see what happens if I perform well." All I want to do is play and enjoy my time here."
