BURY goalkeeper Alan Fettis could be sidelined for up to three months after breaking his left arm in the Carling Cup defeat to Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

The former Blackburn and Macclesfield shot-stopper was replaced by back-up keeper Aaron Grundy after 40 minutes of the 1-0 setback at Bramall Lane after an innocuous challenge with Blades' defender Nicky Law.

"Fettis has broken his arm and will be out for a few months," confirmed Bury boss Chris Casper, who thrust the ex-Northern Ireland star into the frame with Manchester City loan keeper Kasper Schmeichel cup-tied.

Meanwhile, former Stockport player Mikael Wolski continues to train with the Shakers as he bids to secure a permanent deal.
