MIDFIELDER Richie Baker has become Chris Casper's second summer signing after agreeing a one-year deal with Bury.

Baker, who was released by Preston at the end of last season, impressed Casper while on trial with Bury reserves at the end of April.

Casper, who has already signed striker Andy Bishop from York City, said: "He's a good young player who will push through the squad and make a career for himself.

"He won the young player of the year award at Deepdale and has got a cracking character and attitude."
