BURY have released six players, while three more have already signed new contracts with Chris Casper's side.

Goalkeepers Neil Edwards and Craig Dootson will be leaving Gigg Lane, along with strikers Jon Newby and Steve Burke. Russell Hitchen and Vassos Theophanous have also been released.

Brian Barry-Murphy, Paul Scott and skipper Dave Challinor all signed new contracts on Monday morning.
