FORMER Stockport and Wigan defender Colin Woodthorpe is the latest player to receive a trial at Third Division Bury.

The veteran defender played for the Shakers in last night's (Wednesday) Avon Insurance League premier division 1-0 defeat at Preston.

Woodthorpe, who began his career with Chester, lined up with another Bury new boy Ian Kilford.
