Barrow has three of his forwards doubtful for the opening League Two game at Cheltenham a week tomorrow.
Jon Newby will miss the friendly and it seems likely Tom Youngs will also be out.
Allan Smart is doubtful because of a knee injury but Barrow said: "We're hoping Allan will have a run out.
"We need to see whether there is any reaction because if there is then he'll probably need to see a specialist next week.
"It's a bit worrying to have the strikers doubtful this close to the beginning of the season. But it should be a good test against Northwich and probably the closest we'll get to the kind of level we'll be facing in the league."
Bury have lost games to Bradford and Preston by 1-0 margins but beat North West Counties side Mossley in midweek.
