DWAYNE Mattis scored twice and Brian Barry-Murphy added another as Bury opened their pre-season campaign with a 3-0 win at Radcliffe Borough.

It was an ideal workout for manager Graham Barrow's new look side that faces a stiffer test against Bradford City at Gigg Lane on Wednesday night.

Barrow used all his recent recruits but it was last season's stars who made the headlines.

The Shakers line-up also included trialists John Hardiker and Gareth Taylor.
