SHAKERS boss Graham Barrow revealed how his side's 3-1 win at home to Grimsby was sweet revenge following the 5-1 drubbing the Mariners dished out back in August.

Goals from Chris Porter, Brian Barry-Murphy and Colin Kazim-Richards sealed the Shakers' 13th win of the campaign in front of Gigg Lane's biggest crowd of the season, and Barrow couldn't hide his satisfication with his side's performance.

'It was revenge as much as anything, the players and the public both responded well and its great to see them unite together to get the result'

'We could have been four up at half time. Two nil can often be a difficult lead at half time and they caught us after half time. There are lessons to be learnt'

Barrow was delighted with the five thousand or so Bury fans that turned out to support the team. supported the team on.

'It was a great response from the public, the players appreciate it and I am glad we gave them something to shout about,' he added.
