Bury v Stevenage: Preview

Efe Sodje says Bury will get back to winning ways at home to Stevenage.

The Shakers were denied a fourth win in five on Tuesday night when Notts County twice equalised to claim a 2-2 draw at Gigg Lane.

Stevenage were promoted with Bury last season and veteran Sodje says his side know their opponents well.

“We know what to expect from Stevenage,” Sodje said. “We saw how they played last season and they aren’t going to change, but we will be prepared for them.

“We’re going to win,” Sodje added. “We’ll take the momentum from Tuesday night, go out tomorrow and try to do the same again.”

Victory would see Bury leapfrog Stevenage in the League One table.

Andy Bishop hopes to overcome a calf knock that forced him off after scoring the opener against Notts. David Worrall (hip), David Amoo and Ashley Eastham (both ankle) could return.

Manager Richie Barker is trying to extend the loan spells of keeper Trevor Carson (Sunderland) and goal-scoring midfielder Giles Coke (Sheffield Wednesday), which are set to expire next week.

Key opponent: Michael Bostwick - Energetic 23-year-old will keep the pressure on

Prediction: Bury 2 Stevenage 0 - Bury are in decent form and they should pick up maximum points
