Bury v Exeter: Preview

David Amoo has told Bury fans his best is yet to come as he prepares to face Exeter.

The on-loan Liverpool striker has set his sights on shooting down the Grecians after breaking his Bury duck last weekend.

The 20-year-old was making his second appearance for the Shakers at Yeovil after joining on a month’s loan and put them 2-1 up with a 67th-minute header.

And Amoo is eager to maintain that form after Bury won 3-1 to claim their first league victory in seven and climb out of the League One drop zone to 18th  place.

“I feel really good, it’s great to be playing and I can only get better,” he said. “You haven’t seen the best from me yet.

“There will be points in the Yeovil game that I will look back on and say that I haven’t done this right or I can do better than that next time.

“This week I want to improve and go again. For me, at my age, every game is a learning curve.”

Bury captain Steven Schumacher was an unused substitute at Yeovil after seven weeks out with a calf injury but said: “If I can get back in the team and have an influence in the next three games then that’s what I’m aiming towards.”
