Hartlepool 3 Bury 0

Bury's winless streak extended to six against Hartlepool as a fine Colin Nish double and Nolberto Solano’s first goal for the Pools condemned the Shakers to a sorry defeat

Hartlepool created the first chance after only 34 seconds and they were well in command.

Adam Boyd headed onto the roof of the net on 17 minutes, and the hosts took the lead on 36 minutes with Solano opening his account for the club

He skirted through on the edge of the box and finished low in an inspired performance

The second came on 51 minutes. After his shot was blocked, Nish reacted quickest to prod in from ten yards.

The Scottish striker headed against the underside of the bar from a Solano cross, but was soon celebrating his second. Nish robbed defender Andrai Jones, and confidently rolled in from close range leaving Bury hovering about the relegation zone in 20th place.

On the slippery slope...the board will have to make some tough decisions. (i.e bye bye Richie???). I think it would probably be very tough for a new manager to turn things around with a squad that are now obviously not quite good enough to compete at this level. Losing Lowe and Mozika has made a big difference and Harrad (judged not good enough to make the starting line up of a very moderate league 2 side) was not the answer to losing the top scorer. As usual, joy short-lived for Shakers fans as it looks like a long, hard season ahead!

With the right man in charge and a more ambitious and dynamic board (well we can all dream can't we? :-(, we might just be able to arrest this decline. You have to plan for the long term and i don't think we have a stradegy for this just a bafoon of a chairman who does everything on the cheap.Nobody wants to take over our club because it's tired and has over achieved.League 2 here we come and maybe BSP if the rot sets in.Can't see us winning until we play Exeter City at home.
