The Shakers drew at title favourites Huddersfield on the opening day before beating Sheffield Wednesday.
Richie Barker’s men made it back-to-back wins at Wycombe last weekend and despite suffering a Carling Cup defeat to Leicester on Tuesday night, Skarz insists the morale has not been dented.
“We’ve got two tough league games coming up with Charlton and then Sheffield United, and these are the games we want to be involved in,” he said.
“There's only four games gone so we’re not getting carried away, but if we’re still in this position after these next two games then I think we can push on.”
Barker has brought in extra cover by signing 20-year-old Blackpool defender Ashley Eastham on loan.
Key opponent: Bradley Wright-Phillips - former City man has three goals this season
Prediction: Bury 1 Charlton 1 - another tough looking game for the Shakers but they are playing well
