I found out after training on Monday that there was some interest in me.
I spoke to Northampton on Tuesday and then to Macclesfield the next day.
To be honest I would liked to have joined a League One side. It's always been my ambition to play as high as I can.
But Macclesfield are going for the play-offs and maybe even automatic promotion.
I didn't really consider Northampton though because I didn't want to leave the area.
Eventually, I agreed terms with Macc and signed on Thursday night. But I've already been back to Gigg Lane.
I went down to see the lads after training on Friday to say my goodbyes. But I'll be seeing them again in a couple of weeks when we play them at Moss Rose. At least I won't have to face David Nugent though they still have three good strikers.
It will seem strange playing against my mates but I've got a job to do now for Macclesfield.
I've been impressed with Brian Horton and he has told me just to keep playing my football. I don't think I'll be taking penalties though after last week's miss against Orient.
I don't think Bury wanted me to go but because of the financial position they need the money. Tweet
