Odds shorten on Bury boss Alan Knill moving to Scunthorpe

Alan Knill

Speculation is growing that Bury boss Alan Knill may be in line to take over at Championship club Scunthorpe United.

Knill is now favourite with bookmakers to take over at Glanford Park after odds plummeted to 2-9 over the last 24 hours.

Knill spent four years as a player at the north Lincolnshire club between 1993 and 1997, making 130 appearances.

Following his side's 0-0 draw at Port Vale Knill said: "I'm not planning to go anywhere but you never know in football, nothing surprises me anymore.

"For now I'm the manager of Bury and I'm focused on our last eight games but if anything changes with that, it changes.

"I'm only getting this attention because of how well my players have done and for now my job is to try and help them win promotion and that is what they deserve."

Scunthorpe have been without a manager since sacking Ian Baraclough on March 15.

It's just pure speculation why on earth would he want to join such a pitsy club as THE SCUNNY BUNNIES?,they are out of their depth in the championship and need to look for a manager who is out of work like Ronnie Moore.
