Bury skipper Stephen Dawson knows winning is everything for Bury at Northampton if they are to claim a place in the League Two play-offs.
Dawson, the club's newly crowned Player of the Year, said: “A win is a must. Simple as that and please God the other results go our way. We have to have no fear and just go for it.”
Anything other than a victory and it is the end of the Shakers' season.
To move into a play-off slot Bury must beat Northampton and then look for help from elsewhere.
Darlington could help with a win or a draw against Dagenham and Redbridge.
Either result, coupled with a Bury win, will take the Shakers into the play-offs.
The second play-off possibility is an Aldershot win at Morecambe and a Bury victory.
The determined Bury skipper said: “It is going to be tough but we know exactly what we have to do. We are 90 minutes away and we have to win and we have to go for it. There is no point in being cautious to get a draw because it is not good enough.
“We will go out and either win by a lot or lose by a lot because that is the way we are playing at the minute.
“It is a very big game and with the fans getting behind us, we will give it our all for 90 minutes.
“The players know since the Rochdale game we have not been good enough. We have had a bad run of form and just could not seem to buy a win and it has happened at the wrong end of the season
“It is not for the want of trying but we are still in with a shout and let us all get behind each other and go for it.”
