It's where I want to be because Graham Barrow and Kelham O'Hanlon want to take the club places next season.
I've had a couple of offers since I've been here and in the shop window.
But there is a good vibe about the place and hopefully something can be sorted out before too long.
You know what you are going to get from the gaffer and what he expects from you.
With Kelham he's brought in ideas he probably used when he was in the first division Preston.
And together they are determined to build on the foundations they've created so far.
Obviously when you take over mid-way through a season, you inherit players you perhaps don't want or are not your sort.
So they've been sussing out who they want to keep as well as trying to keep the club up.
We finish the season with a home game against one of my former clubs, Macclesfield.
I think they will be safe by the time they come to Gigg Lane. If not then it's going to be a mad last day.
Despite not having the best of times at Moss Rose I'm not bitter towards the club. I was only there for a short while but I met some good people.
And I would like them to stay up despite what some might think. John Askey said I wasn't his type of player and that's fine by me.
He told me straight and dealt with it superbly.
Some players who aren't part of a manager's plans get messed around and stuck in the reserves.
I told him I wanted to get out as soon as I could and he was great with me.
So, I left on decent terms with John.
I got the feeling when he was in charge that there was someone higher up tinkering with team matters and that's obviously not good for the manager or the players.
But hopefully Macc and Rochdale will stay up.
