ALAN Knill has signed a new contract keeping him with Bury until the end of 2011.

Knill, who guided the Shakers to a fourth-placed finish in League Two last season, has penned a year's extension.

After the goalless draw with Oldham Knill said: “I am delighted to have signed a new deal and I am thankful to the board of directors for offering me a year’s extension.

“But I have to say that the game was pretty boring. It was a typical pre-season friendly.

“They are a League One side and we are a League Two side so we are just happy that we didn’t lose.”
