ALAN Knill is hoping Bury can avoid the Manager of the Month curse and continue their League Two winning streak against Dagenham on Saturday.

Knill became the first Bury boss to win the award twice in a season on Thursday following four wins, a draw and one defeat in January, which have sent the Shakers back into third place.

"It's good for everybody," he said. "It's not just for the manager, it's for the team because they get the points and we're all part of that.

"It shows how good they're doing and that we're getting some consistency.

"We've had a couple of dips this season but have come back and, hopefully, we won't have another dip now.

"We've got three months of real hard work ahead now and the important thing is not to panic.

"We had a tough game at Dagenham, even though we won 3-1, because they had plenty of chances and their form has been pretty good all season.

"It'll be a physical battle, so we've got to stand up to that and then try to do something with the ball."

Efe Sodje is set to replace Ben Futcher (hamstring) in defence, while Mark Tyler will remain in goal after signing on loan for another month.
