BURY boss Alan Knill has received a helping hand from some old friends as the Shakers aim to cement second place in League Two.

Bury visit lowly Bournemouth tomorrow and will prepare by training today at Southampton, where both Knill and his assistant Chris Wilder started out as trainees.

"It's good to break things up and when you run out at a training ground like Southampton's, you want to train and you want to run around," said Knill, whose side has taken 10 points out of 12 and lost just five games out of 20.

"I think everyone would have been happy to be near the play-offs after 20 games and we're second.

"It's a great start but we're not even halfway yet."

Knill is set to name an unchanged line-up with Richie Baker keeping his place in midfield as Brian Barry-Murphy (back) is still struggling.
