ASSISTANT boss Chris Wilder sees a clean sheet at Accrington as Bury's top priority.

The Shakers' strike force got back among the goals last week as Andy Bishop and Glynn Hurst scored two apiece to stop the rot and secure a 4-0 home win against Gillingham.

Another victory would send Bury back into the play-off places and Wilder believes a solid defence is the key to launching a promotion challenge this season.

"We were conceding some sloppy goals, you can't legislate for some of the mistakes we were making, but we cut out the silly errors last Saturday," he said.

"If we are going to be successful then we need to have a platform to build on because we feel we will create chances and score goals with the forwards we have got."

Bury are set to name an unchanged line-up, although they have boosted their squad with the signing of left-back Dean Howell from Aldershot on a one-month loan deal.
