BURY boss Alan Knill hopes to continue building Gigg Lane into a fortress.

The Shakers have dropped just two points in four league games at home this season and added the scalp of League One Stockport in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.

"I hope we've made it a daunting place to come to," said Knill. "Our home record is something we're proud of and really want to keep."

Bury host Exeter on Saturday, who - like Aldershot, who drew 3-3 with the Shakers at the weekend after being 3-0 down - have impressed on their return to league football.

"October's a really tough month and Exeter will be one of the tough games," Knill added. "The good thing is we're going into it full of confidence. We played well at Aldershot for 60 minutes but just had a bad 15 minutes.

"It was a big wake-up for us, and for me as a manager, it showed that sometimes you've got to do different things to win games, and we did that on Tuesday by keeping our shape."

Efe Sodje and Stephen Dawson are set to return to the starting line-up after being left out for Ryan Cresswell and Richie Baker in midweek.
