Alan Knill is confident Bury have the strength in depth to maintain their superb league start after beating League One Stockport.
The Shakers had been unchanged for the previous seven games but Richie Baker and Ryan Cresswell came in for their first starts of the season on Tuesday.
The pair had little trouble slotting in for the 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win and Knill has assured them their time will come heading into the winter period.
"Cresser and Richie showed exactly what they can do," said the Bury boss.
"They're quality players, they're just unfortunate that the first team is winning at the moment.
"Like the other players that haven't been starting, I knew that once they had the chance they'd take it.
"They really want to be playing, they just have to be patient. We've come through another game with no injuries but we will have injuries or suspensions and I'm sure they'll be ready."
