BURY boss Alan Knill hopes to celebrate being named manager of the month with victory at Aldershot.

Knill collected the award on Thursday and dedicated it to his players, who claimed two wins and two draws in September to remain unbeaten and go top of League Two.

"Even though I get the award, it's the team's award really," he said. "I try to give them some direction and they go out and do it so they should take all the credit.

"It's a very tough game against Aldershot because generally teams that have just come up from the Conference do well as they still have momentum.

"Aldershot are especially good at home and we have to be wary because they have had a good start."
